One of them will surely become superpower very soon as we know that the British empire “where the sun never set” doesn't exits any more. The mighty of USSR has disappeared, there is no historical reason to believe that the richest and the strongest nation will remain like that forever. This is aforementioned that the center of power is shifting from U.S. to Asia. mainly India and China. Now the eyes of whole world are on the two nations and the race has already begun.
Talking about India, we can say that it can become a superpower in the span of 15 -20 years, If we get a good leadership to lead us. All the human and material resources are present in the country which are required to become a superpower. All what is required is to put them in the right direction. We all know that Indians are among the most intelligent people of the world. The software engineers of the country have made a Silicon Valley.
While talking about china, The story of superlative is not only restricted to population. China is one step ahead from India in the growth rate . Comparing the economies of the two nations, the economy of china is the third largest in the world after united states and Japan with a nominal GDP of $4.99 trillion in 2009, while the Indian economy is eleventh largest with a GDP of $1.236 trillion. China is the world’s fastest growing major economy, with an average growth rate of 10% for the past 30 years. comparing the per capita income china’s GDP per capita $3,677 is much higher than India’s per capita i.e. $1,030. World’s largest and modern stock exchange i.e. Shanghai Stock Exchange is in china. The Indian economy is the fairy tale since 1991, when the government of India introduced Liberalization , Privatization, Globalization., which allow foreign investors to invest in the country. Since than it has become an attractive business destination for investors.
In this golden era the problem plug-in the two countries are quite similar. Poverty is the biggest hurdle of the two countries. According to the world hunger index of International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) India is ranked 94th out of 118 and china is 81. major evils like Corruption and the backwardness of the public sector leads to the poverty. Corruption is the root cause of backwardness in the country.

In China the “communist party of china” (CPC) is the founding and the ruling political party . it is the world’s largest party with about 78 million members at the end of 2009 which constitutes about 5.6% of the total population. Where as in India there is a multi-party system with predominance of small regional parties. The ruling party is decided by the elections done by the election commission of the country the tenure of each ruling party in of 4 years. A huge amount of government funds are wasted during elections. the major problem is that political parties in India focus too much on the social and religious matters and too little on economic matters. Non economic issues like “Temples and Mosque” decide the result of elections in the country.
Discussing the demographic trends of the two countries which describe the changes in demographics in a population over time. The average age of a population may increase over time. It may decrease as well.. The demographics of India are remarkably diverse. India is the second most populous country in the world, with over 1.18 billion people (estimate for April, 2010), more than a sixth of the world's population.
